Everton striker Wayne Rooney charged with drink-driving

Wayne Rooney has been arrested after being caught drinking while driving. He was arrested on Friday by police and will appear in court on September 18. This is not the first time that the former Manchester United star was caught

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been arrested on Friday, September 1, and the Englishman was charged with drink-driving.

According to the report just reaching us, the former Manchester United star was stopped by police near his home Cheshire where he was caught drinking a black VW Beetle.
Rooney was later pulled over and taken to a local police station where he was quizzed by officers.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on September 18 which is the day after his first return to Old Trafford since his Manchester United departure.
