The Charly Boy led anti-Buhari protest group has said that it cannot be distracted by the actions of the pro-Buhari group. The Charly Boy group was met at the Unity Fountain in Abuja by a group protesting against their quest for President Muhammadu Buhari to resign. However, speaking during the group's daily sit-out on Friday, August 11, one of the protesters, Dare Ariyo, said their quest through the sit-out is not based on the number of people who have joined them but the quality of their request. - Pat Utomi Ariyo said the group is not interested in the distraction but focused on the health status of the president. He further called on the Senate to raise a medical panel to establish the true status of the president's health. Also speaking at the protest, the leader of the Concerned Nigerian group, Deji Adeyanju, said Nigerians of good conscience know their request is genuine.


He added that the anti-Buhari group will remain resolute in its demand for the resumption or resignation of the president. "We are not distracted by the group that has said they are protesting against corruption," Adeyanju said. recall that there was a near clash at the Unity Fountain in Abuja between pro-Buhari protesters and a group which is demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari either resumes or resigns. The clash was however averted after the intervention of police offers who created a barricade between both groups. Shortly after the pro-Buhari group arrived the scene, Charles Oputa AKA Charly Boy and other protesters demanding the resignation of President Buhari drove out of the area in a convoy of cars amid boos from the pro-Buhari group.
